Thank you to everyone who helped make the Anshe Emes Dessert Reception such a wonderful evening! It was great to see so many shul members in attendance as well as friends and family of the Witkins. Thank you to Mrs. Chumie Vann for making such an elegant and tasty dessert buffet– the cappuccino bar and chocolate fondue were particularly popular. A special thanks to Mrs. Judy Friedman for decorating the tables with beautiful centerpieces; it was hard to imagine how the shul would look with all the construction going on, but a small team of amazing people really pulled it off. Thank you to Mr. Harry Green from the audio-visual department for setting up the video (which was truly inspiring), Robby Halperin for performing the music, and to everyone who worked behind the scenes to make the reception so enjoyable. Mark Magid – Parsha Yisro
• According to the opinion that Yisro came after mattan Torah, why is the chronology of the Torah out of order?
• According to the medresh, Moshe Rabbeinu agreed with Yisro to give his son over to avodah zara – how could he do that?
• The word v’yichad’ appears only once in all of Tanach – v’yichad Yisro – and Yisro rejoiced. What was wrong with the way Yisro reacted ?

Purim Annual Craft Event! (see attached)
February 22nd, 2009 – 3:00pm to 4:30pm
Purim is coming and Anshe Emes’ Childcare is holding its annual Purim Craft Event. Please come and join us for fun arts and crafts. This event has a variety of fun Purim related crafts from gragers, to magic wands, to hats and crazy ties, gift bags,puzzles and greeting cards are all to decorated by your child. It is a fun event and we welcome you to join us with your children. This is a pay per craft event and crafts cost between .50c to $3.00. We have the best art supplies in the city and all the glue you will ever need to make these crafts special. We look forward to seeing you there. (children must be accompanied by an adult)

In conjunction with Agudas Yisroel, the OU and Young Israel .. to help people with jobs and as a last resort money- SO people should donate to our OWN discretionary fund (so that the money helps people in our OWN kehillah)-
