Rabbi Harris is the son of HaRav Shlomo Yonason Harris a senior member of the Hanhala of Yeshivas Chofetz Chaim (and nephew of Maran HaRav Dovid Harris, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Chofetz Chaim). His Mother is a great granddaughter of Maran Naftoli Trop zt’l, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Radin.
After attending Yeshivas Chofetz Chaim for many years he received semicha, Yorah Yorah YaDin YaDin, and became Rosh Yeshiva of the Yeshiva High School in Ottawa.
Recently, Rabbi Harris and his wonderful family have moved to Los Angeles where he presently is a Rebbe in Mesivta Birchas Yitzchok (MBY, Rabbi Tendler). Mrs. Harris is a speech therapist for LAUSD.
Since joining Anshe Emes, Rabbi Harris has been involved in a wide range of programs including a weekly Parsha Halacha shiur, which looks at a Halacha from the upcoming parsha and analysis it in depth.
